My situation is that my EAD (approved by OPT) expired all the way back to May this year, but my employer told me at that time that I am able and allowed to work until Oct this year. Before my EAD expired, I go to school to pursue another master degree and it provides me full-time CPT. However, I didn't update my CPT to my employer, which means I am still using my EAD. The question here is that "AM I illegal working since my EAD card expired?". (I am gonna update my CPT in few days)
Also, my EB-1A got approved last month, so Am I protected by 245(k) within 180 days since the last day of my EAD card expired if I will apply I-485 in few days? Thanks.
