  • L2 EAD timeline

    Hi all,

I would like to share the timeline of my wife's L2 EAD because we read the posts here everyday, and leaned a lot from you. Waiting EAD is really tough and hopeless, finally my wife got her physical card today. Below is her timeline, hope it can help you.

9/18 - file EAD with USCIS
    9/26 - USCIS update name
9/27 - got the receipt number and call USCIS for expedite request

10/2 - USCIS reply expedite request, assign a refer number and request the evidences
10/3 - fax the evidence to USCIS ( job offer letter and a statement from the employer)
10/26 - Call USCIS to check the expedite status, get another refer number for this request
11/01 - USCIS denied the expedite request (did not provide significant evidences)
    ***service center: California***

11/25 - USCIS approved the EAD applicaiton
11/27 - USCIS mailed the EAD card (USPS priority mail)
    11/30 - physical card received

    Total around 70 days.

During the waiting process, we downloaded the app from USCIS, and traced case status (under "search" exp: your receipt number is WAC250, you can type"WAC001" and "500", then the app will list all the case status from WAC001~WAC500). By doing this daily, you can have a clearer picture on how fast the USCIS process applications. It helped a lot during our long wait.

    Good luck everyone!

    Congrats on your approval!

Can you please elaborate more on app and tracking range of case numbers?

Is it Android app from USCIS?

Please give more specifics about where to download this app and how to do search for range of case numbers. Thanks.

We downloaded it from Apple store in our iphone, you should also see one version for Android system by google "USCIS app"

For IOS app, you can see there is a search icon, just simple key in your receipt number, key in the range (Max 500), and you can see the list.
