I retained an attorney who has been much helpful for my case.

When I asked her how long until my EAD gets approved, she said now it is taking anywhere from 6 to 9 months. It has been more than 90 days and today I called the USCIS and raised an SR.

Although my attorney said there is nothing I can do to expedite the case..I tried and the customer service rep said I was eligible for an SR. So I did..

My I-130 was approved recently like a week ago. Being impatient as I feel so desperate being out of status..

Filed for EAD concurrently with AOS. We are on day 140 and still nothing, PD is 08/30/17.
I also went to the local office here in Phoenix via InfoPass, the immigration official there told us the processing times right now are around 7 months. Some people get a very quick processing agent and can get it in 3-4 months. Most people wont be so lucky.
My SR i did on day 120 stated your case is being reviewed and is within normal processing times.

Would you recommend me to call USCIS for a Service Request?

Its great that your EAD got approved after calling USCIS, one question, what was your Service Center? (Texas, Nebraska, etc)

First of all, let me thank all the people that contributes to this forum. It has been very helpful. I’ve been pretty much a silent reader, but I’m getting very nervous and anxious since I’m not seeing updates on any of my cases nor my dependent after completing Biometric appointment (Fingerprints) in November 2017.

I’m from Mexico, I submitted concurrently I-140, I-485, I-765, I-131. I’m applying to GC through my employer.

This is my timeline:
1. When Package sent to USCIS : 10/05/2017
2. When Package received by USCIS : 10/06/2017
3. Which Service Center reviewing : Nebraska
4. When Text/Email notices sent : - (Didn’t apply for it)
5. When Physical Notices mailed : 10/17/2017
6. When FingerPrint notice sent : 11/03/2017
7. When FingerPrint notice scheduled : 11/22/2017 (Detroit, MI)
8. When AP/EAD Text/Email approval : -
9. When AP/EAD Physical cards mailed : -
10. When case transferred to NSC: -
11. When case transferred to local office: -
12: When interview notice received: -
13: When interview scheduled: -
10. When I-485 approved : -

I can track all of my cases and my wife’s cases through USCIS website. (LIN18900292XX)

I haven’t received any updates on my cases and today is the 106th day since the application of both my wife and I were received by USCIS, and Im getting very concerned since we haven’t received EAD/AP combo card and me and my wife need to travel outside the USA by June 9,2018.

After reading several posts in the forum I do know that there are a few cases that have been approved for EAD/AP in Nebraska and way more in Texas.

On the other hand, I have read very sad stories in which AP/EAD hasn’t approved for a few cases until reaching 250 days after submitting the application (and that’s why I’m so concerned).

I know that there are still a few months down to road to June 2018, but still, I just want to plan ahead of time and make my moves (Service Requests through USCIS, Inquiries, Infopass Appointment, Ombudsman Case Assistance, contact local Congressman) in order to get the EAD/AP before June 9, 2018.

As I wrote above, I’m applying to GC through my employer. My employer hired an Immigration Lawyer Firm to handle the cases, but I have never had direct contact with the lawyer herself, everything goes through my employers HR manager who pretty much asked me to fill out the forms (I-140, I-485, I-765, I-765), returned to her, signatures, pictures, etc, and then she sent everything to the lawyer and after that, lawyer submitted the application to USCIS.

Based on my concern and my future trip in June, yesterday I had a meeting with the HR manager and I explained everything to her. I asked if there was a way to expedite things up to get EAD/AP and she sent an email to the lawyer and this was her response:
“USCIS is currently processing I-140 petitions received June 1, 2017. Since employee’s I-140 was received on October 6, 2018, we do not anticipate a response for at least another 4-5 months.” “With regards to the EAD/AP, USCIS is processing applications received August 1, 2017, therefore we anticipate at least another 2 months before we hear anything”

The above response from the lawyer was based pretty much on the USCIS processing time table from their website (which is very inaccurate).

I know that in order to have EAD/AP expedited you will need to provide evidence such as severe financial loss, medical reason, humanitarian reasons, among a few others, and I’m pretty sure that a trip overseas will not be considered as a strong argument.

Now, these are the questions that I have and maybe some of you who are/were in a similar situation could help me with a piece of advice:
1.- Today (1/20/2017) is the 106th day since my EAD/AP was received by USCIS, would you guys recommend submitting a Service Request or Service Inquiry through USCIS website? Which of the two (Service Request or Service Inquiry) would you recommend me to submit? Should I wait more time before submitting it?

2.- If I indeed submit a Service Request/Service Inquiry through USCIS website, would it have a negative impact on the overall processing time of my application? Could you please share your experience?

3.- It seems that my HR manager/lawyers doesn’t want me to mess around with Service Requests/Inquiries. If I indeed submit a Service Request myself is there a way that the lawyer can find out that I did it? She submitted the application on my behalf.

4.- I know that there are different ways of requesting support for pending aplications. Since I haven’t contacted USCIS nor submitted a single Service request would you think that requesting support in the following order makes sense?
a. Call USCIS and ask for a L2 representative to get status updates on my EAD/AP application.
b. Submit a Service Request through USCIS website for both I-765 & I-131 applications. Another question here will be, do I need to submit sperate requests for the I-765 & I-131 applications of my wife or could it be included in the same service request? Please advise.
c. Schedule an Infopass appointment with an USCIS officer to get updates on my applications. Would this appointment have a negative impact on the overall processing time of my applications? Please advise.
b. Submit a Service Request through Ombudsman website for both I-765 & I-131 applications
d. Contact local Congressman and ask for help regarding pending application.

Bottomline, I’m just looking for pieces of advice and things to do in order to get EAD/AP on time by June 9, 2018. All the help and advices that you can give will be highly appreciated especially tot hose that already submitted requests/went to Infopass appointment/contacted Congressman.
