  • Pending EAD while working as a consultant

    Hi everyone,

I just want to share a little bit of my situation here.

As of right now, I work as an individual contractor to this company who also had given me an offer for an actual job as a manager but cannot be employed until I receive my EAD.
I receive checks from the company on a biweekly schedule and just cash them out from a bank. I, of course talked to my lawyer regards to this. And her solution is to of course disclose the info that I am currently working and wait until what the USCIS decides on.

Its only been 59 days since we filed and just a little worried that I might get denied for EAD. Which I believe is possible but it rarely happens.

Does anybody here had the same situation as mine?

Let me hear your opinion and how your case is solved.

    Thank you.

What category are you immigrating on?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
