Apply for ead with i485 application when I already have ead based on L2 status

Hi Folks,

I am on L2 visa and I have a valid ead , expiring on 7th Feb 2019 , I am working as full time with this EAd. Now my husband has applied for green card in EB1 category, we are about to submit our i485 , my question is should I submit application of i765 based on pending i485 in the category of c(9) , when I already have a valid EAD based on my L2 status

You should since it is free. You can always choose not to use it, but you should apply just in case.

But what I found in google , that if I already have one EAD , uscis will not approved my new EAD , my existing EAD is not going to expire in another 4 months

I agree with Scientist2016. the application is free and there's no harm in reapplying especially since it's due to a COS. I'd reapply if it were me. Best of Luck.

If I apply for i765 based on my pending AOS , and I receive it and I use it , will I be out of my L2 Status , considering L1 has never used the EAD.

My L2 Ead is going to expire on feb 7th , 2019 , L2 expiring 8th May , 2019 .I don't think my husband employer will file L1 extension in premium , so I wont get L2 renewed before Feb 2019 ,but by that time my L2 Ead will be already expired , in such situation can I use my gc ead , if choose to do so will I be out of my L2 status?

Hi Sayani, my wife is in the exact same position as you, with similar dates. Did you get any recommendations outside of this forum?
