Proof of identity question, please help!

Hello everyone,

On 9/1/2017 USCIS received my forms I-912, I-765, I-485, and I-131.
Filed based on my U Visa status.
I filed from Phoenix, AZ, and Vermont Service Center (VSC) is processing my case.

On 2/1/2018, yes 153 days later USCIS mailed me a Request for Evidence (RFE).
Asking to provide proof of name and proof of identity.

I have a few questions and concerns.

1. I am no longer married and divorced back in 2014 should I mail USCIS a copy of my marriage certificate or divorce papers? Or should I mail both?

My U Visa status expired 9/30/2017 which means I no longer have a valid drivers license.
It is my understanding that USCIS will NOT accept expired documents.

So my 2nd question is.
Can I mail my foreign passport as proof of identity?
It would be a Mexican passport showing my status as "married" and will have my married last name hyphenated.
So my passport won't exactly show a name change, just my last name added

For example, it will show my full name as: Itzel Carolina Vasquez Rios de Garcia

and I filed my paperwork showing a name of Itzel Carolina Garcia

So Im worried they will have an issue with that...

What materials did you included with your I-485? According to the I-485 instructions, you have to include with I-485 a copy of a government-issued identity document like a passport.You also have to include with I-485 a copy of your birth certificate, and if there have been name changes since your birth, a copy of the proof of those name changes (e.g. court order for a court ordered name change; marriage certificate for change through marriage).

When I filed for i-485 I included my State issued licence which at the time was not expired. Also my birth certificate that shows my maiden last name.
I did not inlcude my marriage certificate or divorce. After my divorce I decided not to change my last name...
