I strongly want to believe the ombudsman made an impact in the facilitation of my application.

Congrats on your EAD!! I contacted the Ombudsman as well and I was on the same situation with you, got an approval letter, received my ssn, my ead card was mailed out March 22, but I still don't have it yet, I am a little worried :/

sounds kind off strange though because I was thinking you get your combo card and later on go to the social security office to obtain your ssn. we will see how next week turns out and will keep the forum updated.

I got my SSN right away because the new forms you use to file I-765 gives you an option if you want to request a new social number, which we did request. So from what I have read, from the day USCIS approves your EAD, they will also submit your info to SSA to get you your SSN Card. And you're supposed to get your SSN after you received your EAD.

However, I called USCIS last Friday, and tried to get a tracking number of the mail, the officer told me that the card is still being produced and not yet mailed. Even though, the status online said that it's been mailed out to me. THe officer told me to call back next week to see if the tracking number is available.

EAD/AP Card was mailed to my lawyer instead of home

Hi everyone,

I am just updating that I now have the EAD/AP Card in hand. The status on my account through https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ website is actually accurate. I didn't know that it was mailed to my lawyer until today. I checked the tracking number and yes, indeed they shipped it out 3/22/2018, and my lawyer received it 3/26/2018. Its been sitting with them for a week. I just got an email today that my lawyer had it all along.

Anyways, that is all.. We are now waiting for our Green Card Interview..

Eventually got my EAd +Ap combo card

Hi family i called my lawyer and she said she has my card.I just picked it up. All the best people, it will surely come for everyone

I would advise anything from 85 days onwards . Before they reply and your mail them back with necessary documents , it will be 90 days

Im not sure there is any point. Im on day 119 and contacted them 10 days ago. I received a response today telling me that it was within the posted timeframes of 2.5-5 months and they would not take action. They said to contact them again if I don't have it by the time my date becomes valid. The date they will respond to at MSC is November 10th. My PD for EAD is December 11th.

If you do contact the ombudsman I hope you have better luck than me.
