Hi, I was working on H1B for 2 years and then changed my status to L2 and started working on L2 based EAD (A18 category) for same employer who had my H1B. My L2 got renewed last fall, however at that time my EAD was outside 120 days renewal window, so I did not applied for EAD renewal. I applied for EAD renewal in Jan 2018 but it has yet not approved. I have 2 questions: 1) can I continue to work on my current EAD after the expiry date ( 1 May,2018) till I get my renewed EAD. 2) in case my renewed EAD does not come before my current one expires, can I file for change of status from L2 to H1B and continue to work based on the fact that I have filed the change of status request OR do i need to wait till my change of status to H1B is approved. My current EAD is under A18 Category.
