Timeline:
My husband entered the US with a K-1 visa
Filed 1-131, I-485, and I-765 concurrently
10/31/2017 - Sent our package to Chicago lockbox
11/1/2017 - package received
11/8/2017 - check cashed
11/8/2017 - Case officially received
12/7/2017 - Biometrics done
3/9/2018 - RFE sent to us
3/15/2018 - received notice for RFE in the mail
3/17/2018 - mailed our response to RFE to Lee's summit in MO
3/21/2018 - they received our response to RFE
4/3/18 - Case status showed: we are producing your card and will mail it to you
4/4/18- case status: we approved your case
4/6/18 - case status: We mailed the card to you. The US Postal Service will deliver it.
I used "ask Emma" for USPS tracking number and it was provided for me and I was able to track the package
4/11/2018: We got the card in the mail
We are from Los Angeles, California and yes, I did seek the Ombudsman, my Congressman, I even got an infopass to ask the status of our case. They all told me my case is being processed on-time.
Advice: set up an account at myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov for more detailed info regarding your case. Most importantly, BE PATIENT AND DON'T LOSE HOPE!
