  • AP Processing - July Trip

    Hello All!

My wife has to travel outside the US for a University Research meeting. We submitted the I-485, I-130, I-131 and I-765 and was received at MSC March 27 with a Notice date of April 5th. The trip is planned for July 20th for a week long. What are the odds of receiving the AP before her trip comes? We have to make a decision on purchasing the ticket and wanted to have little input on the matter.

We appreciate your honest opinion, thanks!

I'd say be cautious if you can't handle losing the money. There is no solid info you can go on, and people have different experiences and customer service is useless. Also different Service Centres seem to have a whole different time frame, so I assume process?

I filed in October, same forms, and MSC. I got my EAD in March, and no advance parole despite giving evidence of my business and a flight that I booked, and lost. So I have no advnce parole, and nobody knows whether it is in the works, or lost in the ether

Sorry if thats negative, but I feel a complete prisoner of the process

Five months seems to be the norm right now for AP processing. I concur with the other posters that it's going to be very close. If you schedule the trip, there's a good chance the AP won't be issued in time. That's a tough decision to make.

          Possible but unlikely.

The processing delays are only getting worse with time.

            Advanced Parole

I finally received my acceptance notice for the I-131 after over 8 months of waiting and one RFE. I also contacted the congressman, which may have helped. I never got an update online, just checked my mail and got the letter. My forms went to the NBC.
