  • EB1C 2018 Experiences

    All,

I had filed I140/I485 concurrently(EB1C) along with I131/I765 on Jan 27th 2018(Texas). Received my receipt notices from USCIS on 6th Feb 2018 that they have received my case. There are no updates after that, I haven't received the bio-metric appointment yet, it is already 77 days. Also I see the current processing date for Texas Processing Center for EAD/AP is November 18 2017 which means I should be expecting my case to be processed only by June 26th 2018. What is concerning is the non-receipt of bio-metric notices until now.

I am curious to see if anyone else who is on the same boat. If any of you filed in 2018 and are waiting for the bio-metric appointments or have completed the bio-metric appointments, can you please share your experiences for others?

    Thanks.

I'm also still waiting for biometrics appointment. I'm on EB2 and filed Feb 2, 2018 for I-485, I-140, I-765, and I-131 and Receipt Notices received on 2/16. However, I just got my EAD "card being produced" status on April 13th. So I didn't get the biometrics and I read some articles saying EAD can come w/o fingerprints as biometrics is for the I-485 application. My wife got her Approval Notices for I-765 and I-131 yesterday. I'm waiting for mine and my kids but the online tracker has not been updated to "case approved" yet. So I'm guessing you may get your EAD/AP approved as well w/o biometrics just like mine.

Biometrics are for the I-485 application. Given that biometric appointments are handled at USCIS field offices, there is a lot of variability in appointment availability between the offices. Some offices may be able to schedule them pretty quickly, while others will have a long delay. If you haven't changed residential addresses since you filed, then it's unlikely that you've missed a notice. USCIS will usually mail one notice to you and one to your attorney (if you have an attorney and a G-28 on file for the I-485).

Hi Francesjacob. Thanks for your response. I got my status changed to "New Card being Produced" for both my wife and me. We didn't have the biometric appointments yet. So it is true that we will get our EAD/AP before the FP. I will now wait for the FP.

        Thanks.

Quick Update. My EAD status got changed to "New Card Produced" today finally after 78 days No Bio-metrics done. So indeed true that EAD/AP can be approved before biometrics are done.

          Thanks.

My wife's status has been changed to "Card mailed" yesterday. While me and my kids were changed to "Case approved" yesterday. So now waiting for cards to be mailed status like my wife's.
