Sorry if it's a Silly question:

Do you still need to carry with you your PASSPORT as ID after receive your EAD card? Some states let you have an REAL ID after you receive your EAD, do you still need carry your passport?

What use of an "ID" are you talking about? If you are asking about flying on a plane, a passport or a state driver's license or ID is enough.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

I usually carry my Passport with me as an ID, if somebody don't accept my State Driver Authorization Card. On this DAC is written that its not valid as Id.

I'm more concerned about if somebody, as Immigration, stop me and i need to show my Immigration Status or something like this, or a checkpoint.

      Thanks!

As Far as I am aware, if you are traveling outside of the United States, the Real ID is not considered a valid form of ID so yes you will need your passport. If you're traveling inside the US then you can use either as a Citizen(generally a drivers license if driving), not sure if you're a permanent resident or Temporary worker or other legal immigrant status though. but at least for travel outside of the US you'll still need your passport as far as I know.
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

Thanks. I'm on B2 AOS to LPR.

So I usually carry my passport together to any place. I just have an DAC that is DL that cames written that is not valid as ID, but most places on the state recognize it as an ID. So I was wondering, as on the back of the EAD comes the same kind of data that VISA has written, if i can just carry daily the EAD instead of the passport, just if i need to prove my ID or my AOS or something like this.

I ask this because I'm always afraid to be asked for my VISA or STAtUS and don't have my passport with me.
