  • December filer - approved!

PD: Dec 22 and just got approved for the card May 3. It took 132 days.
I contacted USCIS and our congresswoman. It took about a month for the congresswoman to get back to me (she emailed me yesterday). Not sure if it had anything to do with her but we got approved today!
Just wanted to update you because a lot of people have kept me sane on here!

Thank you. My sanity has definitely seen better days. My USCIS Receipt date is Dec 29. Is Dec 22 your USCIS Receipt Date or the day you sent the application?

I was so much hoping to get it this week (as I did many previous weeks). You are giving me hope for next week.

Same! Although I got a RFIE for I-485 and spoke to customer service guy at USCIS. He informed me that once we received the response (2/28) it shouldn't take them longer than 90 days to go through the I-765. I hope that mine will get approved next week! Almost there!

Anyone whose EAD file is with California Processing Center submitted in December?

                  Hi all,

it is day 153 and still nothing!

Please share your experience whose papers EAD/Travel Authorization were submitted by California Processing Center in December? Any good News?

Married to US Citizen. My I-465/ I-765/I-131 was received by December 11. 2017, Notice Date December 14, 2017. On January the 8th 2018 had biometrics taken. January 13th received Request for Initial Evidence (i-485), submitted all they have asked for on February the 5th. They have updated the system that the case is no longer on hold, and after that silence.

Couple of weeks ago called USCIS call center, and the agent told us to wait 150 days. Waited and no update still. Called today - day 153 - first agent was trying to send a request through the system that my case was over the normal processing time and his system hanged (what a luck!), asked to call back in 30 mins Called back, and other agent told us that my case is within normal processing time and they are processing November cases now. Tried to explain her that it is over the normal time without any success. Then spoke to our lawyer and he submitted the inquiry online, and have to wait for the USCIS reply till May 27th.

Is it normal timing now? anyone else have been waiting that long? Everywhere they write that it takes 90-150 days max.

Well i know that some people get them earlier but mine was spot on in terms of predicted timescales. My PD for the EAD was december 11th and the enquiry date was december 10th i think when i was notified.

As Mellymoo said some people got them earlier but ours was also based pretty accurately on the later end of the timeline (pain in the you know what.....)
I just hope the interview doesn't take 20 months. ugh!!!

Does your EAD case status say "New card is being produced" or does it say "Case was approved" or both?
