Hey all,
I filed concurrently, I-130, I-485, I-765 2/20/2018 for my husband (I am the USC). Regarding the EAD, we made a request to expedite April 19th. Here is our EAD timeline:
2/20: Received
4/19: Request to expedite (husband's OPT will expire soon)
4/20: Request for documentation
4/26: Sent documentation
5/01: Request was assigned to officer (update on eGov)
5/02: Response sent & request completed (update on eGov)
5/04: New card is being produced (update on eGov & myDHS)
5/07: We approved your case (update on myDHS)
5/09: We mailed your card to you (update on myDHS)
Has anyone else gotten this series of updates? I keep reading that the status changes from 'New card being produced' to 'We mailed your card'. Is it just a lag? The approval notice is ONLY for the I-765 on the website, no movement at all on the I-130 and no movement since biometrics on the I-485. I'm just not sure what the point of the "we approved your case" status update is, since they obviously wouldn't produce the new card if they didn't approve the case...
