  • I-765 average processing time

USCIS claims that the processing time of the I-765 is between 2.5 months and 5 months for the NBC. The lower end is the time USCIS processed 50% of the cases, and the upper end if the time USCIS processed 93% of the cases.
I wonder if that is really true. If the numbers USCIS gave is correct, half of the people should get the EAD card within 2.5. However, I have not heard anyone on the forum received the EAD within 2.5 months. Few people got it roughly 3 months because of the approval of expedite request, but those should be very small percentage.
Does anyone know if those numbers are accurate?

This site provides applicants the ability to see an estimate of the time to completion from submission of USCIS forms based on its adjudication location and subtype.

We launched a pilot to test a redesigned processing times webpage that displays the data for all forms in an easier-to-read format and also tests a new way of collecting data and calculating the processing times for some forms.

No idea. If it helps, mine took 148 days to be approved. No idea when it might be printed and mailed though.

You can see the big report online about processing times. I am sure expedites go into their new criteria for 50%.

I also submitted the expedite request based on job offer. I heard people still got declined on the request. But, I will still try. It doesn't hurt.
