Hello,
I am currently in L2 status, and would like to keep it that way as long as possible. Therefore, I have just sent in my application for renewal of my EAD which was based on my L2 status.
Now I am also about to apply for adjustment of status, and planning to send in my I-485, I-765 and I-131 concurrently (this is as a safety net, for if I lose L2 status or if my EAD takes too long to process). I have read that having multiple EADs is possible, but I have to make sure not to use my I-485 EAD unless I am ready to lose L2 status.
My question is: do I need to wait until I have received the I-797 notice of receipt from my L2 EAD before applying for an I-485 EAD?
And is there anyone else who has been in the same situation and has some more advice?
