  • Address change while application in process

I changed my address while the application was still being processed . Now my I765 is approved and card is being produced .

Can someone share their experience with changing address while application in process and getting the card correctly to new address ?

I updated my address with USCIS .I didn't update my address change with USPS yet because my attorney said USPS does not forward USCIS mails.

you should also sign up for USPS Informed delivery so that the postal service will email you a snapshot of what is about to be delivered. that way you will know when it's coming
This is strictly an opinion and should not be misconstrued as legal advice. The use of this information is strictly at your own risk.

Yes. I have already signed up for it . But I was able to do it only for my old address as I still have my lease there . I was not able to do for new address where I am staying temporarily. I have updates USCIS with my temporary address.

I changed my address with them a month before my EAD was produced and it came to my new address. Did you receive any confirmations that they updated your address?

USCIS is also rolling out a new delivery method to those who have changed their address mid-process: https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-rele...livery-service

Yes. I changed address on I765, I131 and I485 . I got confirmation email saying address has been updated . Service request status also says address change request completed . I think best option is to know when card is being delivered based on USPS tracking number and just stay at home to sign and receive it .

If you pay for Premium Forwarding Service, USCIS will forward USCIS mail. Just take a look on the USCIS website. Option #2 is to have the post office hold USCIS mail for you; in case there is no one home.

Informed delivery says both me and my wife are getting our documents tomorrow. I have requested USPS to hold mail starting tomorrow.
