Travelling abroad without AP but waiting for it and then re-enter????

Hi all,

I have filed for Travel Parole (I-131) on 9th of April and still waiting (I spoke with USCIS and they told me that they still processing December 2017 cases). I have to fly to my country on August for my religious wedding, and I have a question about the travel document.

Does anyone has experience of people who left the US without having the Travel document but waiting someone to sent the travel document in their country and then re-enter in US ???
Is that possible to happen, if I have not received the document till August?

PS: I have filed an expedite request for this application based on humanitarian purposes (wedding and failing health of my grandmother). Do you think those reasons are acceptable for USCIS to expedite?
