I have a question regarding the travel during AP renewal is pending. My wife is planning to travel to India this month, but her AP renewal is still pending and existing AP is already expired. She has valid visa approval notice and she has to go for stamping during the travel. Can anyone let me know whether her I-485 will be considered as abandoned, if she travel without AP ? Or is it safe to travel if she can be back on her visa before the 485 become current? Please advise.

If she is currently in H4 status (which means you must still be in H1b status), and she has an unexpired H4 visa or will get an H4 visa while there, she can return on her H4 visa and her I-485 won't be abandoned.Originally posted by GCDreamer17 View Post
