I just received my EAD yesterday, with an expedite request through my Congressman's and senators' office and would like to share with you the detailed timeline:
3/21/2018 PD with NBC based on pending i-485
4/24 Biometrics appointment
6/19 started freaking out and called to expedite
6/22 updates to status saying request accepted
6/24 fingerprint review completed
6/29 Sent information to both senators' office
7/1 Sent information to congressman's office
7/3 Congressman caseworker called to let me know he is sending in my request
7/5 received notice from USCIS to fax material in but the fax number does not work (I tried A LOT)
7/12 Heard back from one senator's office (after I called and left a message) *
7/13 Card is being produced
7/18 Heard back from congressman's office *
7/18 Card is being mailed
7/19 Card received
It sounds like lots of people are trying to expedite:
* Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent's immigration matter. This case will be routed for expedited processing. Once this case is reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action. Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review. The strict enforcement of the expedite criteria means that all cases sent for expeditious handling are urgent, and we assure you that this case will be adjudicated as soon as possible.
this website really helped me because I had no idea that it was taking everybody so long to get their EAD approved. This motivated me to expedite my application. I was already hired on OPT, so I had my employer write a letter stating severe financial loss if I don't get my EAD in time. I submitted that letter, a cover letter, and additional evidence that I thought could help my case. This entire process is so stressful, since all you can do is wait, but don't lose hope and just keep trying, contacting your representatives really does help. Keep in mind I did not hear back at all from one of the senators, so it doesn't hurt to contact them both. I hope this detailed timeline helps!
