  • Expedite request without job offer

Is it possible to ask for an expedite without a job offer? I'm B2 so I can't get a job without EAD but my husband and I could use some extra money from me since his income is barely enough for us and I would really like to support us

    Any advice will be appreciated

My husband is also military so he only had to meet 100% of the poverty guidelines and he's my sponsor. Does expediting upon financial loss go against the whole point?
    thanks

Yes, it does. The full reason for expediting is "financial loss to a person or a company" (as I remember). Example: a company desperately needs you as an employee and will suffer a loss if you do not start working - that's a reason for expediting. From what I was told, trying to expedite based on financial need for the family might indeed hurt. They may ask for a co-sponsor.
