reg: H4 EAD to EAD based on AOS/pending I-485

Hi,

I am currently on H4EAD until end of september and the category listed says C-26. We applied for AOS/EAD/AP and is currently pending. Based of on current processing times, looks like the EAD based on AOS may not come until after my present H4EAD expires. On the receipt for the AOS based EAD my category is listed as C09 which according to USCIS is eligible for automatic 180 days extension. My question is will I qualify for that even though my H4EAD was category C26 and my pending I-765 based on AOS is C-09?

No. You cannot work after your H4 EAD expires until you get your AOS EAD.

No. You are not renewing an AOS EAD. You are applying for it initially.
