  • Time span for EAD/AP

How long does it take to get EAD/AP? I am a new bee here. Have seen the people are getting EAD/AP in 2 months and some taking like 5 months. Is there any particular factor it depends on? Does it help when the date of travel and the reason for travel is mentioned in the I-131 form and the letter we write for Advance parole sent out in packet?

Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Check the processing times on their website. It keeps changing...that plus luck

Thank you I did check that. But some of the posts look like candidates got EAD/AP even before 2 months and not even being expedited.

In my case it took 10 months to get EAD/AP. I guess it depends on how lucky you are

Thank you. Looks like it depends on luck a lot. But I wonder does it also depend on Nationality (the nationality of beneficiary) on how long it takes?

Also wanted to know if the marriage based AOS gets processed faster if you belong to same community/nationality? And if the beneficiary was always on valid visa/never overstayed the VISA?

          Thanks in advance

I just got my EAD/AP and it took 5 months. I think it depends on where you file your papers and also from what I understand marriage based AOS is processed faster. I overstated my visa 3 months. Good luck and lots of patience!
