  • EAD (I-765) for C09 classification (F2A) is taking a year

    Hello,

I just wanted to share my frustration and see if anyone else is out there with the same experience, or we are just simply unlucky. Or this is how it is these days.

We filed our I-485, I-131 and I-765 on October 31, 2017 for my wife. I am a GC holder, she is F2A green card, category C09. The processing time at the NBC is 2-5 months. We are at 10 months now (300 something days). I have submitted about 4 service requests and had 3 InfoPass appointments so far. If we even got a response it was a boilerplate letter saying "we are working on it". InfoPass appointments say "we don't have access to this you have to call the 800 number).

Are we the only one or spouses of GC holders are just processed really, really slow (much slower than the processing time)?

    Please let me know...

    Thanks

Hey I am the daughter of a GC holder who is in a very similar position as your wife. My mother is in the process too. We filed everything (I-131, I-765 and I-485) on April and our PD is May 1st 2018. It is very frustrating that it takes much longer to be processed than US citizens related cases.
I think your situation is terrible and it makes no sense it is taking so long. Try to contact your congressman, maybe they'll help...

Anyway, good luck to us all
