    Hi!

Received letter from USCIS to send evidences to expedite case 09/15/2018 ( I haven't answered yet)

Today, 09/18/2018 I received an email with this update:

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On September 18, 2018, we mailed your document for Receipt Number **** , directly to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your document by October 18, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request the document be sent to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please, does anyone know what this could mean? Just an approval or rejection notice? Or my card? I haven't sent my evidences to the expedite request yet.

      Hi! Thanks for replying!

USPS lost my card, or how they like to say, " they couldn't locate it". According to the tracking history, on July 9th 2018 at 10:21am the card was out for delivery. On July 9th 2018 4pm, "delivery attempt - no access to delivery location. Additional info: We attempted to deliver your package at 4pm on july 9th 2018 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day." No more updates since then.

They never tried to deliver the card on the next business days. I say my carrier 2 times that week and he had no idea what I was talking about. I went to the usps the same week 2x and nobody couldnt locate my card. I went back 4 more times and nothing. They haven't returned the card to uscis either. I called usps and opened an investigation about this and they officially emailed me saying they couldnt locate my card. It was a nightmare, I called USCIS and USPS so many times to solve this but no success.

When I called USCIS, they told me that since they never got the card back from USPS, they may have lost it and I had to apply for a replacement card.

I would go to your Senator. Escalate it. Do not use inflammatory language.

Lesson to be learned by all of us. It's best to just hold all your mail and pick it up at the post office. Done.
