  • Travelling on AP - Chicago

I am a US Citizen with Global Entry and my husband got AP in April. We took a trip in May and got flagged coming back in through Chicago O'Hare. We waited about 90 minutes, they pulled my husband back into a room and asked a few questions about our trip, stamped his passport and we were done. We thought we got flagged because I went through global entry so when he we through alone he got flagged.

We just got back from another trip landing at Chicago O'Hare and we went through together, and got flagged again. When we showed the guy the stamp we had he said "I can do the first part here but you have to go do the second part in that room" so we waited about a hour this time, my husband got called and the guy asked a few questions about his previous visas (we went the the UK which required a visa, the 4th UK visa for my husband on his passport) so we asked why we got flagged this time and the officer said it is policy for Chicago to double check everyone. Even with a green card we will get flagged and checked and the policy differs from airport to airport. Just thought I would share this info for anyone travelling through Chicago
