Hi, I am filling Green Card for my parents. I have already sent form I-130. Now I am sending form I-485, I-131(Advanced Parole), I-864. The question is do I need to submit form I-765 (EAD) to get SSN. My parents don't intend to work but need SSN.

Getting the EAD seems to be the quickest way of getting a SSN. Otherwise, they could wait until they get the green card.

I guess in future they will need SSN for medical insurance etc.Comment
