AP/EAD status

Hello all,

I am wondering how long are people waiting these days for their AP and EAD approval? Website says 4-6 months for National site, do people have to wait longer than that?

Secondly, is the government shut down effecting the process time for i131 applications? USCIS website says that fee based services are not being effected, however have heard from other people that it is being effected. Would appreciate any information on it.

Finally, If I would like to travel while waiting for my AP, can I leave the country, but then return after getting my AP in mail?

I waited 5.5 months for EAD and AP. I wouldn't leave the country before your AP is approved. You run the risk of abandoning your 485 and you may not be able to get back in the country. Have some patience.

PD is 10/17/18 Nebraska service center

EAD was approved on 12/11/18
Advance parole on 01/24/18
Waiting on my green card now.

Do not leave the country without Advance parole in hand.

More like 9 months thats what it took me to get mine and there was no problem
