  • No updates since "Case was received" since 20-Sep 18 ??

    Hi all,

    Need your advice on my case, whether I should contact Congressman/Ombudsman or Expedition on my case, or this is just normal within processing time?

    -My PD: Sep-20-18
    -Did biometrics: Oct-30-18
    -Check 2 websites and only "Case was received"

    I had NO "Fingerprint review was completed" or "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview" like most of you guys did and it's 4 months passed, guys.

    Please advise me what should i do?

    I didn't have the status you mention either. Ead processing took almost 5 months. Be patient, if you don't receive letters requesting more evidence it's a good sign.

      it was 5 and a half months for us without hearing anything then all hell broke loose. EAD and AP ready for interview, interview date set all in a week. Had green card in 7 months. Be patient, good things are coming.

        Similar situation here.

        NIW concurrent filing to Texas Center (SRC)
        RD Aug 31 2018
        PD Sep 21 2018
        Since then I receive nothing. I just get fingerprint notice last week, and I will do my fingerprint tomorrow (Jan 28 2019) Someone Texas Center messed up with my case... My case status check is saying "Case was received" since the beginning.

        Anyway, my normal processing time will be end from Feb 1 2019 (Texas Center normal processing time for 765 is 1.5m ~ 5m based on Aug 30 RD) So, I'm considering to congressmen expedition sometime next week, right after my normal time frame is over. However, my lawyer told me not to submit the expedition, because congressmen expedition is not guaranteed to have EAD, and this depends on USCIS officers. And USCIS officers don't consider personal financial crisis and temporal unemployment as a good expedition reason "in general"

        So I'm also not sure what to do.
        Concurrent NIW, Texas center (SRC)
        Aug.31.18 = Receive Date
        Sep.21.18 = Priority Date
        Dec.07.18 = Spouse biometrics done
        Jan.28.19 = Biometrics done for me
        Jan.29.19 = Fingerprint Review Was Completed
        Feb.07.19 = EAD expedition request to congressmen
        Feb.14.19 = Send expedition evidences to congressmen office

          I know that all cases are different and you might be the lucky one but i have to wait almost full 9 month before i received my ead last friday their processing time is 6 month and right after the 6 months i started submitting SR without a respond until my status finally update.
          Hopefully your case is not like mine keep the faith and don't gave up or stress like i did which put me in the hospital twice for stress and anxiety.

            Thanks. I hope my case will be the same (5.5 months for the miracle).
