My RD is Aug 31 2018, but I received biometrics notice last week, and just finished the biometrics today.

My biometrics took 5 months since RD.

Someone told me that I-765 background check for EAD requires that biometrics, and the picture I took today during biometrics will be printed on my EAD card (or combocard)

This means that I-765 requires the biometrics.

Yes, background check has to be complete before they will `produce the EAD. My husband finished had his biometrics on November 2nd and as of now his ground check is still pending and still no EAD card. It varies for everyone.

Is the background check same with 485 and 765? My lawyer told me that there are few cases which receive EAD faster than biometrics. But not sure if this is the case for me.

If you're right, should I need to wait 1 or 2 more months? Can congressmen expedition help this situation?
