L2 EAD - Rejection Notice - "Office doesn't have jurisdiction to accept application"

Hi,

I am on Valid L2 Visa, residing in California. Recently applied my EAD (I-765) by sending the completed application, necessary supporting documents and processing fee of $410 by cheque (spouse cheque signed by my spouse as i don;t have bank account) to USCIS Phoenix Lockbox via UPS to the below address as per USCIS Website:

Attn: NFB AOS
1820 E. Skyharbor Circle S Suite 100
Phoenix, AZ 85034.

My application was rejected stating "This office does not have jurisdiction to accept the application petition you submitted. Please submit your completed application / petition to the USCIS office or service center with jurisdiction".

As per USCIS website the address I have send the documents were correct. But do not know what is the cause for rejection. Need help to know what correction I need to do to process my EAD. Thank you.

It looks like they made a mistake. The only other option is that the form was not filed correctly, check the eligibility category. If everything is correct, I don't know what you can do to fix this, sorry.

Thanks for your reply. I went through the instructions for I-765 and applied under (a)(18)

Employment-Based Nonimmigrant Categories --> Spouse of an L-1 Intracompany Transferee--> (a)(18).

as my spouse is the main applicant with valid L1.

Do I have to reapply my L2 EAD again? Thanks.

L2 EAD Rejection notice

Hi,

I submitted my L2 EAD application on Feb 8th, 2019 to Phoenix lockbox facility as I live in Illinois.
On Feb 20th, I received rejection notice with reason as 'This office does not have jurisdiction to accept the application/ petition you submitted'.
But I have sent to the correct lockbox facility. Please advice on how to proceed.
