Hi everyone. They recv'd my husbands EAD app Sept 20, 2018. They did ask for RFE for his I-485 which they recv'd on April 5 and now his interview in scheduled for June 17, but still no update on his EAD. Is there a number to call? He put in for a case inquiry and they said they would respond by May 10. And still no update. Would they wait for his interview to give him his EAD? Its frustrating and can't seem to get any answers. Why do some get EAD right away and others have to wait so long?

Different documents sent, different officers handling the cases, different work loads and different work style/organization are some of the variables that make the EAD arrive sooner or later.

Some cases get the GC and no EAD. I even read about one person who received the EAD and 1-2 days later the GC, really waste of resources.

I hope your husband get approved on June 17 and receive the GC before the end of June. Good luck.

But nothing for Travel Document. What does it mean??

Usually it reports that then a couple of days later it should say approved. For us one online site didn't change I131 to approved but the other did, so we know the EAD will arrive as combo. For some people both sites stay as 'Case Was Received' and they received EAD/AP combo too.

I have been reading another thread, the February filers have been getting their EADs already! How unfair could that be? How is NBC’s system like? They are getting it in 3months while everyone of us being tortured of waiting for 7mos or more? I don’t understand.... It’s so upsetting

It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!!!

right? I have been following Sept and Oct filers and so happy reading them get theirs coz it gives me hope that as a november filer, I will see progress in my case soon. then I came across Feb filers getting theirs in no longer than 3mos? so disappointing.

are we sure people who get their ead after 3 months or so have it done by NBC? I feel like in other offices, things work fine but only people with NBC are screwed.
