  • Traveled using my combo card.

    Hi everyone!
I just want to share my experience traveling using my combo card.
I was out of status for quite a long time. Overstayed my b2 visa.
Married my now husband, and filed my aos last March.
I?m still at the airport full of happiness.
I went to my home country the Philippines after years of not visiting.
Left San Francisco airport, with no hassle at all. They just took my passport and printed the boarding pass.
I was worried because they didnt ask for my combo card. Everything went so fast exiting USA.
Arrived in my home country, and it felt unreal. A lot of things has changed. Spent wonderful time with my family and friends.
Fast forward, a couple weeks later, had to leave to come back to USA.
Upon checking in, I gave my passport and combo card. The man who checked us in was quite confused by the combo card,
So he stood up and asked his other co worker. After that, everything went very smooth and easy.

Now coming back in the US, I stood with my husband in the US citizen line. It was long and tiring.
It was our turn for the officer. He asked us the purpose of our visit abroad.
My husband answered. It was because for him to meet my family and vacation.
And when officer saw my passport and combo card, he then asked me if im still waiting for my green card and i said yes.
He was so polite and told me he just need to send myself and my husband to secondary inspection and its just a part of the process.
Secondary was very quiet. It was just myself, my husand and another man.
A lady officer took my files, 5 mins later, she then stamped my passport paroled.
She didnt even ask anything. All I can say is the secondary inspection is verve racking. But everything went so smooth and good.
So glad I?m back in the US.

    Cheers to everyone!

      I say go for it.
As long as you dont have any convictions, youre good to go.
I mean theres always that small risk. But I say do it. It was so easy. Just scary when you get in to the secondary inspection.
Goodluck! Let us know when and where you are going.
