  • EAD/AP card and driver's licence

    Hi

My EAD/AP combo card is expiring in the next ten days and with that my driver's licence will also expire. I entered the USA last week and the immigration officer at the port of entry stamped my passport "Paroled until 27 of Feb 2020". Can I use the officer's stamp on my passport to extend my Driver's licence?

It all depends on the office you visit. See this thread: https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...tension-letter
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

wow, i understand your dilemma with the drivers license but they actually extended your AP without you having to wait on an extension is a great silver lining. My experience with that is when it comes to the DMV it depends where you go. If one turns it down try another.

They didn't "extend" the AP. She was paroled for 1 year. This is just like if you are admitted for 1 year when you enter on a visa, that doesn't mean your visa is extended.

Some states give driver's licenses to people paroled for at least 1 year; other states do not accept this. OP: What state are you in?

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
