  • Need help with Employment authorization

    Hi all,

I have applied for I 485 in Dec 2017. Still waiting to hear on that. However I received my EAD/ AP combo card in March 2018, pending 'change of status' approval. Reapplied and received new one in Dec 2018. My card is 'C09P Category' and under 'Terms and Conditions' says 'None'.

I currently for a non profit religious organization as a Religious worker. I really need to change my job. Can I work for another employer? What happens if I resign from my present job? What are my options?

Also does anyone have an idea how much longer it could take for the I-485 approval/ interview call?

Any advice in this regard is much appreciated.
    Thanks

Did you apply as a person married to USC?
Did you apply as R1 Visa with approved I-360?
What is the expected time for your I-485 approval?
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

      Hi Enub4

Mine is an employment based (EB4) petition as religious worker. The I-360 was approved in end November 2017. December 2017 filed I-485 Adjustment of Status application. I know of people whose applications got approved in 6 months of submission.

I think your case is special. Don't know if you can work for other religious organization. I hope you get your interview/GC soon.
