Very Important question on Last Updated Date...

We (both me and my wife) applied for our AP and EAD documents together with the receipt dates of 06/21/06....I just saw today afternoon that my Last updated dates for our AP documents changed to 07/12/06 BUT no changes in the status text (it still says that we received your applications on 06/21 and you will receive the decision once the processing is complete)...But, I just noticed that our EAD's have been approved and they have updated the status message saying that we should receive our EAD cards soon...

I'm little worried as to why I'm NOT seeing an approved status message for our AP's, but am just seeing the LUD's changed to today for our AP's.

Thanks a bunch in advance for your replies and we are eagerly looking forward to AP's to make an important travel abroad....

That was very quick on the EAD...but its not unusaul for both to have different approval dates..............I'm sure by the end of next week the AP will be approved too...................relax, you have a lot of time..did you write the letter to correct the name?

Yes, Curiousone. My attorney has taken care of writing a letter to USCIS to correct the spelling mistake on my wife's name on our Biometrics/I-485 receipts.

Thanks a bunch for your help and I'm waiting to get my AP approved now. As you mentioned it will be great if our AP's get cleared in a week's time.

Hey Curiousone - You are awesome in predicting the times Kudos!

I just got an email from USCIS, stating that my AP documents are approved. Below is what it states in the mail and also when I checked my status on their website...

"On July 14, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

I assume the above means the approval of our case??....The only part I don't understand is, "registration of this case...."...I assume we should be getting our approved Advance Parole documents to our home address soon?
