Regarding interim EAD

Hi,

I applied for EAD and AP renewal 100 days before expiry at VSC. I haven't got it approved yet and my current EAD would be expiring in Oct. I here lately that we have to renew 6 months before expiry, I was not aware of this earlier, so is it ok since I have applied only 100 days before?
Also, what is the process for getting interim EAD and when should I request for interim EAD if I don't get my approval before expiry? What documents do we need to take for this, also how long would be the interim EAD valid?

You make an appt with infopass and go in with your receipt notice and other doc you received and u should get one same day

Could any one please let me know if dallas office is issuing interim EADs?
