H1B/Adv Parole/Help

I have a pending I-485 (EB2-NIW), AP and EAD. I am processing the GC through a lawyer and it is not employer sponsored. I am still on H1B but the visa has expired. I am planning to visit India sometime in the near future. Should I get my passport stamped or can I re-enter using AP. I have heard that if I enter using AP, my H1B becomes void? I want to continue to use my H1B as I still have about 2.5 years on it. Please advice.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
