My EAD expired July 31, 2006 but my I-94 card has a duration status of 'no later than 12/31/06'. Can you tell me when I officially fall out of status?
I'm married to a US citizen and will be submitting my application for adjustment of status early January 2007. I would like to travel to the homeland sometime in June 2007 and intend to apply for AP.
I am aware that if you have been out of status for 180days up to a yr, you can be barred from the US for 3 yrs even when an AP has been granted. My 180th day will fall at the end of January. If my adjustment of status application is submitted before my 180th day anniversary, does that save me from being barred? In other words, does the submission of the adjustment of status application before the 180-day mark place me in a safe zone? Or is it dependent on some other factor?
Thanks.
