EAD-Applied for L2 SPOUSE-direct mailing

Iam on L1 Visa and my wife ( on L2 Visa) applied for EAS (I-765) on
06/08/07 by direct mailing (registred mail) to USCIS Texas centre., with
following documents..

1.I-765 Filled form with filign fee $180
2. 2 photo graphs
3. Copy of her I-94
4. copy of MARRAIGE CERTIFICATE
5. copies of her passport all 36 pages

and mine (L1 )
6. Copy of I94
7.COPIES OF ALL 36 PASSPORT PAGES

my questions are:

1. Is biometric fee ( $70) required for this case?
2. we got acknowledgement postal receipt yesterday. when we get case number or receipt number from USCIS?
