Does anyone here have any experience with the SAVE program (USCIS Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements)?
Thats where my SSN application is getting stuck. When I tried to apply they told me that their system is asking for initial verification through the SAVE program so they sent Form G-845 with photocopies of my passport and EAD card to the immigration status verification office in Seattle WA and they told me it could take upto 4 weeks to get a reply (the USCIS website says it should be done withing 20 days at the most). Its been over a month and nothing has changed.
When I speak to my local USCIS office they tell me that once it enters the SAVE program its out of their hands and the SSA office tells me that until they get a reply back from the SAVE people in seattle they cant do anything So now I've got 2 agencies telling me that niether of them can do anything and no one is allowed to give me the contact details of this SAVE place.
Anyone know anything about it or has had a similar experience when trying to apply for a Social security number with a EAD?
