Travel when filing for 485

We are filing a I-485 pretty soon. Meanwhile, we have booked a cruise to Alaska on September first week. We will not receive the AP by then. The cruise departs from Seattle and does dock at one Canadian port. Question is will our I-94 taken at Seattle when we depart and will we receive a new one? Is it better if we cancel the cruise?

If you aren't in the US on another type of Visa, why don't you just go on your trip and then file for the 485 when you get back? Unless it's urgent and you are running out of time in the US, just file it after your vacation.
