EAD Renewal (L2 visa holder)

Hi,
I am an L2 visa holder and have applied for the renewal of my EAD. The receipt says that it takes 80 days for processing. Is there a faster means of processing ?

Also, I got my SSN based on the EAD which I got last year. Now that I have sent my EAD for renewal, my SSN still holds good. Am I right?

Your ssn holds good.

U cannot take up job until ur ead is renewed . U can try going to ur local INS and request them ead renewal to continue ur employemnt, they may consider.

EAD renewal for L2

My EAD expires 15 Aug 06. I have not applied for renewal. Can you please let me know if there is an expedited manner to get this done?
Any help is deeply appreciated.

There is no expidited way to get an EAD............however I do believe if its a renewal and you have a filing receipt you can actually continue working for a period of time before you receive the new approval/card.........................I do not recall where I saw/got the information but will research it and tell you conclusively whether I'm wrong, by tomorrow.

EAD Renewal

Hi

It is same as applying for new EAD. Only thing is you need to send the photo copy of your current EAD (front and back).
Please make sure you have a valid I-93.

I do have an another query.My L2 visa is till Jan 2, 2007 so i got my EAD till Jan 2, 2007. Now i have given papers to extend L2 and yet to come. Once it comes, can i apply for Renewal of EAD? Will that be a problem, if i apply lately?

I hope I-94 gets extended while L2 extension paper comes.

I would appreciate if you kindly reply to this query.

and, Should I post it to the USCIS office or need an appointment to give directly to them?

ead renewal

My husband has been here for more than 8 yrs and has applied for a green card. we are waiting for the 485 to be processed. At the moment both of us have an ead and he is also on an h-1 and i am on a h-4 . Both of these will expire by 11th Dec 2006. is it too late to apply for ead renewal now. Can we only apply for h1 a nd h4 renewal at this time.

one more thing, he is planning to change jobs now. Can he do that when the ead is not renewed?
