    how long - SSN ?

    hey all,

    got our EAD on 7th jan. applied for the SSN on 8th jan.

    how long does it take for the SSN to reach us ? we were told at the SSA that it would take aupto 30 days. is it true ?

    need to start applying for jobs...

    I got mine in the 2 weeks that SS said it would take. I'm just ourside of Reno Nevada. Perhaps larger cities take longer?

      just a quick update. we got our SSN exactly 2 weeks from the application date.
