I submitted by family-based petition (I married a U.S. citizen) and AOS forms on September 3, 2003 and received my EAD in end of November. However, I did not submit I-131 (AP) when I submitted the other forms. Anyways, we're planning on going on a honeymoon outside the U.S. this coming June.
Questions:
1) Can I submit the I-131 now and how will it take to process? (I will have to submit it to the local Arlington (DC) office because thats where I submitted the other forms)
2) Is it risky to go outside the U.S. even with the AP? I was on a H1B that got cancelled recently because I got a new job with my EAD at a different company.
3) Is it ok if I put "honeymoon" as the reason why I want the AP? Or does it have to be a legitimate emergency personal or work reason?
