URgent Travellin on AP to India

Hi,
My case -
I am on H1-B Visa valid till July 2004 ,My wife who got her H1-B here in US is valid till Nov 1(That is approved petition with a I-94).She has a stamping in her passport of H4 Visa which expired in Nov 2002.
We applied for the GC and got our EAD/AP.
Now we are travelling to India in Oct and returning in Nov.
1.Will my wife face any problems in India as she does not have any valid Visa stamp in her passport only an expired H4 Visa.
2. What all documents do we need to carry ?
3.Is it be good(wise) that I enter US on H1-B And my wife enter on AP?

Any help will be appreciated.
