Can some advise the significance of the date entered by the immigrations officer at POE in the Stamp which they put on the I-94.. the wordings are like - Paroled Pursuant to Sec 212 (d) (5) of the I&N Act. Paroled until ........... ( date - usually one year from the date you are entering the POE) .. What is the significance of this date? Say, i came at POE on July 6th and the office put the "July 5,2008" in the above lines on my I-94.. Does that mean i can enter US anytime until Jul 5,2008 - should i go back out of US. Remember that the AP document was issued, say on 24th May 2007 and is only valid for one year, i.e. 24th May 2008..
So if AP document is only valid upto 24th May 2008, why does the stamp say "Parled until July 5,2008"..
Confused..
