Travel back to US from India with Advance Parole

I have heard that on a number of occassions,persons having valid AP but expired visa stamp in passport(although having a valid H1B approval notice till a future date) have been denied the permission to travel out of India. It seems that the immigration officials at port of exit in India are looking for a valid visa stamp and are not considering AP as a valid travel document.

Has anyone faced this problem? Pl. share your experience and if you know, the safeguard to such situation.

Ridiculous

Have u heard of any such incidence? This is ridiculous. AP is to given to Airline guys as they have burden to carry back who’s entry is denied.
