Finger Printing while away from US

Hi All

I am going out of US for 5 weeks. I am on 485, applied to TSC 6 months ago. I have not got invitation for finger printing.

My question is

whiel I am away, If I were receive an invitation to go to near by office for Finger printing before the actual data I come back, what happens?
Can I reschedule the appointment?

Generally FP appoinments are like: either on this date1 or any wednesday or thursday (depends on the local INS) until date2. And generally date2 is 1 or 2 months away from date1.
It will be prudent to ask one of your friends to check your mail and notify you, so that if possible you can change your plans (or at least put your mind to rest about FP).
Of course you can always call INS and reschedule the FP or if you receive it before you leave, can try to do it early.
