  • Advanced Parole

My I-485 application, together with AP, EAD app were
    just mailed out to VSC.

I am planing a trip back to homeland at the end of
September. I am wondering if there is enough time to
receive AP approval before my trip?

Also, I read that you can get your AP at your local
INS post. What kind of documents or evidence do I have to bring in?

    Thanks for you reply.

Generally, you need I-485 receipt notice before
    you can apply for parole.

Baltimore INS issues parole the same day if you
go and apply there personally. (I am not sure
    of your location.)

If you have valid H-1B visa stamped in your passport,
you can travel with original H-1B approval notice
and original I-485 receipt notice. You do NOT
need parole. If your H-1 already expired or if
you don't have a H-1 visa stamp in your passport,
    you do need a parole.
